Six tracks of abstracted dancefloor experiments from young producers Acre and Filter Dread on the freshly minted collaborative label from Bill Kouligas (PAN) and Visionist (Lost Codes) – LTD to 500

After having released on some of the top labels in the underground scene, namely No Corner, Cold and Tectonic; Filter Dread and Acre have joined forces to create a mind-bending EP in the form of “Interference”. Both of their styles meld seamlessly and have been utilised to full effect, whether it be the proto Drum And Bass and Jungle idiosyncrasies of Filter Dread or the bewildering rhythms and textures of Acre, both producers compliment each other superbly.

Kicking off with “Drumz 34” a melancholic Sino-Grime Devil mix complete with haunting melodies and gritty “ghost in the machine” qualities; not dissimilar to the output of Dark0 or Mr Mitch. “Flash Speed” ups the energy level with a screwface inducing monster of a bassline set against a backdrop of beats and dub fragments reminiscent of early Digital Mystikz and Kode 9.

The styles keep flipping as “Life” flits and churns with 909 toms bouncing across the spectrum, not dissimilar to the recent Mumdance and Pinch output, whilst “Blood Artist” rattles and judders along hypnotically bringing Punch Drunk era Pev and T++ to mind!

The Avant-Garde of PAN and the effortless cool of Lost Codes, these guys look set to be one of the most interesting labels in the underground – Grab your copy while you still can!

Perfect for the new wave Grime DJ or the more adventurous Techno head.
