Heavy dub flavours from the brand new Grand Ancestor imprint –

For the first 12″ on the new label based in the East Coast of the USA, Cuttle steps up with his soundsystem orientated ‘Back Jah’ and a dubbier cut on the flip by Trigram boss ‘Alpha Steppa’.

Definitely leaning in from a UK digital dub angle, but spiced with dubstep sensibilities, Back Jah comes geared for soundsystem use, sure to hit the right notes at high volume, with high-pressure subs and a focus on low-end.

Whilst the original is a righteous dubstepper in it’s own sense, the Alpha Steppa remix has to be our favourite, with it’s catchy bass riff and egyptian mode synthline bringing this one into soundsystem anthem territory, with stronger UK soundsystem attributes, steppers dub attitude and execution.

Dubheads and steppers massive – this one for you!

Vinyl-only, white-labels.
