Big tune with a message from D. Brown – a statement against white oppression, and for equal rights –

Most of you will know this one, it’s one of those tracks you don’t forget once you hear it. The chorus, the bassline, and those rhodes make hairs stand up on the neck, and the importance of the message rings true, and must be heard, even decades after this track was recorded – hopefully one day that will change, and – all together! – equal rights & ‘social status’ can be achieved for all, no matter where they, or their ancestors happen to come from.

Abysinnians on instruments, Bunny Lee on production, Dennis Brown on vocals, reissue via Gorgan Records –
this is one of reggae music’s biggest tunes, without a doubt.
