From Croatia to Senegal to PDX via Kingston –

Proper outernational styles on this latest drop on the impeccable ZamZam imprint from Portland, landing another fine set of tracks in the string of dubwise that the label specialise in.

Egoless, of Lion Charge and Lo Dubs fame, makes his debut on the label with this nifty re-work of Sly & Robbie’s classic ‘Revolution’ riddim (You should probably own the Dennis Brown version too).

Adding to the beautifully crafted re-rub, we have an unusual, but highly addictive pairing – the Senegalese roots singer ‘Daba Makourejah’ and her catchy, tuneful african voice excel the track into new territory – real melodic, upful tones with a serious message about education and upliftment of a country’s youth.

This is really great stuff, a lovely combination of old and new, tastefully balanced to form something rather special.

As per usual, another finely presented disc, served in a stunning orange and black screenprinted sleeve – designed by Polygon Press.

Limited edition, vinyl-only, no repress –
Full support.
