Another killer link up between Jonah Dan and The Bush Chemists, originally released around ’94, and now back in press via Mania Dub –

This is another gem coming out of London’s soundsystem scene in the 90’s, from around the same time as that ‘Dub Convention’ record, which Mania have also reissued by the way, and many other killers.
The Bush Chemists provide deep digital steppers Trial Dub, the opening cut, the downbeat ‘Voices Dub’ with it’s particularly watery & splashy hi hat section and phased chops, taking things into tougher territories with ‘Rimshots Get Clap’ and the final cut of the A Side ‘Warriors’.

Jonah Dan, on the flip, comes extra tough with his own, heavyweight mystical uk dub style, sounding wicked and bad throughout – proved with cuts such as the bubblin bassline murder of ‘Dangerous Dub’, one of the most dread sounding vocal & dub cuts we’ve heard in a long time ‘Tehilim (Psalms 30+47)’, and that – up there with the best – Aba Shanti I soundsystem classic ‘Meditation Rock’.

Crucial 90s Uk Dub.
