Fresh up on the Echo Chamber imprint from way down in Australia –
LQ hits the chamber with two dubwise riddims, junglist ‘Come In’ on the B1 and followed by the dubplate cut of ‘Way Down’ on the B2 warped low-frequency patterns, 4 x 4 powerhouse steppers rhythms topped up with a Melodica line, keeping things mystical in the dance. With a little Mark Iration vocal snippet for soundsystem familiarity, this one is sure to get the fire blazing once the disc is spinning.
The real magic, happens once ‘Way Down’ has been exported through Dubkasm’s vintage mixing board and seasoned dubwise technique. Pressed up on the A side, the dubstep foundations are swapped for some digital style bass bubbling, reminiscent of their excellent ‘Emotion’ cut from a few years back, and also not far off the classic RSD sound, which makes good sense as they are closely tied via the Bristol connection.
Digistep dubs off a new vocal lick via year 3000 style signal chains, and the spring reverb is pushed to run red-h0t with the percussion firing off into the vaults. Extended dub business on this one, just let it run!
Pressed on 180gsm vinyl, heavyweight business.
