Miss Red fires off two deadly shots to signal the arrival of her new label.
One of our favourite vocalists, last spotted on the Hotline plate, alongside Rider Shafique and Ishan Sound, links once again with studio partners Mark Pritchard and The Bug for these two ruff as you like riddims.
Up top, ‘Murder’, prod by Pritchard, links dancehall drums with cavernous sub lines and playful synthesis which echoes her playful vocal delivery. Both dark and uplifting, this is a tune that’ll send a moody dance into a frenzy, or, if you prefer, take the vibe from upbeat to eyes down. Total gem this one.
‘No Guns’ sees The Bug harness some undulating bass frequencies, fizzing and popping underneath another wicked vocal from Miss Red, a mutant hybrid of acid techno and savage bashment styles which promise to deliver the goods on a decent system this summer.
Mastered by Pole at Scape Mastering and pressed on transparent red linked vinyl with an unpunched paper inner, in short, it looks dope.
Pair this one up with that latest Hotline drop and you’re in for some fun.
