Classic Doc Scott killer, revisited -

Originally released around 1996, Shadow Boxing is one of those Drum & Bass tracks that will never cease to tear down a venue in cool and deadly style.

A restrained but perfectly balanced rhythm, effective sub bass and the all-encompassing drones... it's a simple recipe for dancefloor destruction, effortlessly executed.

Sounded hard in '96, and still stands up alongside more recent dance music, no doubt about it.

It's the sort of tune you would find yourself trawling discogs for one day, if it wasn't for the fact that it has now been reissued (and remastered!) in it's full vinyl glory.

And let's not forget about the A side, the Om-Unit reinterpretation -
With his early Philip D Kick productions as well as recent releases on Metalheadz and Exit Records showcasing his credentials to crossover within the drum & bass spectrum, Om-Unit implements a fresh spin on the genres he draws from, incorporating signatures from vast styles such as West Coast rap music, juke and footwork, as well as other club styles.

A great 12", nice to see this one back in circulation!
