Brilliant UK Roots from back in 1983 - unearthed! -

As explained on the sleeve notes, this track here was somewhat of a Shaka-anthem during the 80's, a heavy, melancholic vibration that remained Norris Regal's first-and-only release, with two further unreleased cuts that resounded, until now, only between the walls of those sessions, played on acetate, and occasionally recorded to cassette during the dance or a radio shows.

The label behind this release, 'Reel-Heavy Music' have gone out of their way to locate 'Norris Regal', who is now 54 years of age, lives in Rugby, UK and happens to be the chairman at the Anglo-Carribean Domino League.

First off, we have the title track 'Struggle' - originally published by Sirron Music, this is an outstanding piece of reggae, in the style of early Roots Radics and Junjo Lawes productions, topped with a heartfelt vocal by Norris, backed with in-tune female harmonies...

Following that, we have previously unreleased deejay cut, adding to Norris' efforts in perfectly suited execution and style... a brilliant accompaniment.

Turn the disc over, and we are greeted with another previously unreleased, extended dubwise version.
Heavy on the low-end and masterfully dubbed out, with huge snare reverbs guiding the way.
Crucial UK re-issue / unearthing!

Produced by Norris McKenzie.
Recorded at Easy Street Studio, London.
