Online tickets for the big dance in Bristol this Weekend!
* Advance tickets are sold out >> £15 on the door! *

A few people have been requesting this, so we thought we’d offer some online tickets for those coming from out of town.

Some of you on here may only know Peng Sound as the record label, but it’s worth noting that things really began in the humble basement of the Take 5 Cafe, back in 2009, when Peng Sound put on their first few (still very memorable) parties, bringing in a big range of artists from the outer reaches of soundsystem culture for those sweaty dances in the underground of BS1.

After spending the last few years concentrating on the label side of things, Peng Sound return with their biggest session yet, alongside local tastemakers and vibes pushers – Falling Up.

Lineup is massive, and it’s spread across the courtyard of the Kuumba Centre for the daytime part, with the legendary Downbeat Melody Soundsystem providing the platform for soundman Papa Steve & Champian, Jahtari / Selah Wadadda / Honest Jon’s don dada ‘Tapes’ as well as (first time in Bristol!) Sofrito selector Frankie Francis & MC Kwasi –
expect pure niceness on the turntables, with food & music running from 1pm until things proceed into the inside hall.

The big, bad ‘No Ice Cream Sound’ are bringing a 6-scoop turbosound setup for the night-time part of the session, up until 3ish am.

Completing the lineup,
Young Echo’s Ishan Sound b2b ‘Secret Guest’ (the latest Hotline 12″ will give you the tip) with Rider Shafique & Miss Red on the mic, Trilogy Tapes signing ‘Rezzett’ doing a full live show, Skudge / NTS / General badman Dj October digging deep with a special selection from his vast collection.
We look forward special combination set from Jabu alongside Neek for the Jabu vs O$VMV$M part of the evening, strictly dubplate selection peppered up with vocal performances from Jabu’s Alex Rendall, alongside Young Echo’s best-kept secret: Manonmars as well as a promised live vocal performance from Jas (her silky tones can be heard on Jabu’s – Kwaidan EP).
Ossia will be playing a special selection (if he’s not too tired from all the running around in order to make this dance happen), Falling Up residents, absolute top-selectors – their Boundary Object Mix still gets bumped on a regular at the RwdFwd HQ – Jay L & Andy Mac will be cherry picking from their enviable record boxes, jusssst in case you thought the above wasn’t already enough reason to make the trip to Bristol for this session.
