Limited vinyl reissue of ‘Dance Dance’, an amazing lost gem of an album from the little-known Miss Misty. Originally released in 1980 on the short-lived but top-quality reggae label Jamaica Sound, this ultra-rare slab of heavyweight sister funk enjoys a rock-solid musical backing including the masterful Sly Dunbar on drums and Earl 'Chinna' Smith on Guitar.

Jam-packed with amazing cuts, the LP jumps genres from great floor-friendly disco groovers such as the lilting title track and bubbling club favourite ‘Can’t Stop’ through the bass-heavy chugging reggae-infused ‘Whenever You Are Ready’ to the tough, crisply percussive and raw-edged funk of ‘Disco Kid’, ‘I Don’t Need Your Love’ and a fantastically sleazy take on The Salsoul Orchestra’s disco classic ‘Right Size’.

Another standout is the schizophrenic closing track ‘Loving You’ which starts as a beautifully quirky ballad with Miss Misty’s smooth soulful vocals overlaying a base of futuristic arrhythmic synth bass squiggles before changing into a full-blooded piano-driven disco stomper!

Reissued here in its original packaging, this is a bit of a gem if you ask us!
