Unknown Artist - Nuclear Winter / Heavy Rain

Ruff & tuff darkside grime / sublow styles from an undisclosed artist, served up on a good old 12", white label style, via the YOUTH label, out of Manchester.

Coming in like an ominous fog wrapped in more tripped out, dark ambient veneer, razor sharp drum shuffle and bass concoctions make up the bones and skeleton of these brukUKG creatures, making shapes of two rhythms, pressed up on one 12" plate.

Mouth - Voyage to the Bottom Sea

A slice of underground Bristol post-punk history right here -

Mouth may be little known to some, but they were right in there in the Bristolian musical map of the 80's, skirting around alongside bands such as Pigbag, 'Rip, Rig & Panic' and Pop Group around the time of the legendary Dug Out club, house parties and underground ventures. A time in which Post-Punk, the early foundations of Hip-hop and the rich lineage of afro-caribbean soundsystem culture spawned the kind of vague, but apparent Bristolian sonic continuation that still resonates within the city to this day.

Keety Roots - Neo Colonialization

Absolutely tough tune on Keety Roots' Black Legacy label.

Conscious lyric up on the A side, and then a seriously thunderous dub cut on the flip.
