Searing roots burner from around 1979, Prince Hammer -

Originally out on the Belva Sound imprint on Jamaican 7" disc, and on Hit&Run 12" in the UK (this is the extended 12" version we are dealing with here) the much sought-after 'Ten Thousand Lions' is finally available on fresh wax again, after it came out on an obscure limited edition 8" disc a few years back.

On the extended cut of 'Ten Thousand Lions, from the time the needle drops until it reaches the inner circle, it's vocal galore. Complete with the Deejay cut 'North London Thing (Carry The Swing)' - this is a disc for all those who want a real slice of foundation roots music.

Flip it for further movements down dub alley, the dub plate dub presents us with deep filtered warping bass guitar, sly guitar licks and delicate organ slides cruising by the low end and rhythm section, which comfortably sits at the forefront.
It's a stripped, fully dynamic production by Berris Simpson, reminding of the way Scientist or Tubby would've mixed a Roots Radics cut...
