Here's another excavated goodie from a box we got all the way from Melbourne (in exchange for some external record dealings) - This is coming from the same source as the 'Tape Projects' locked groove 12" which some of you regular rwdfwd checkers might remember we had up here recently, and which went real fast... But fear not, more copies are coming to us soon, in case you're still looking... we're the only place you can find that one, and this equally wicked locked groove related one too.

This record was made in edition of 100 copies for an exhibition a fair few years back, and 'most copies were destroyed in the process' - plus they never made it to any record shops at all, so this one is pretty under-the-radar, which is nice.

The story of this record dates back to January 2010, and it was produced for a Chronox installation in Tasmania, Australia. 100 copies pressed, about a quarter got used during the exibhition, whilst playing the locked groove side of the disc on three turntables simultaneously, and mostly 'destroyed in the process, or given to friends'.

Apart from being a pretty special disc with all those locked grooves on it, we think this record fully captures all that sense of intrigue and experimentation that you could wish for in abstract music... Think 'industrial, music concrete, early synth and tape experiments' and you go the gist of what's going on here, and then just trust our ears and words when we say this one scratches the itch for all who love experimental music and obscure records that have a story to tell, not just sonically but also in terms of the life of the artefact itself.

On one side we find a drift through 15+ mins of warbled tape frequencies, abstract harmonics and distressed synth signals, flowing as one piece... Apparently this was put together in one long sleepless night, live straight to 2 track tape. This one would sit well next to your Coil records or maybe Conrad Schnitzler's dubbed out synth tape biz.

Then, we get treated to 33 perfectly cut locked grooves.
From blips and bloops, to woody echoes, organ-esque chords, resonant harmonics, gloomy, reverberated synthesis, pitched down snaps and crunches, laughter-esque synth sounds and other weird sh*t that we love to hear -
in short, there's plenty of fun to be had with this record in the mix, and it's actually very pleasing to listen to as well.

These remaining last copies come with a unique sleeve, handmade with a gold-stencilled artwork in order to pepper our intrigue and make these copies extra special.

No clips... Sorry! You can have your money back if you don't enjoy the record..
