The medieval folklore of post2020 continues in the form of this latest mythical cassette release from the Pheasantry Society.

This cassette packs 90minutes of live recording from Quade's Fohn (violin, guitar, synth) and the mysterious Norman Church, who - according to local rumours - has trodden a path of raucous cyberpunk industrial and such things, but is unplugging his sound into the field of acoustic, hands-on musicianship for the time being, playing on dulcimer instrument, no less. Sound of the summer.

The recording kicks off with chatter and the sound of local activity around the Nova Scotia Pub, with the recorder placed by the window out onto the harbourside location, and then drifts gently into improvised performance from the two players of instruments, venturing into worlds unknown, channeling spirits of yesteryear and the right-now, all at once, no hype, no fanfare, just honest exploration of sound and slightly twisted folklore, re-imagined for that particular moment and captured here on tape (including excellent artwork via kin40k) - this one is for all the intrigued, deep digging and pheasantry loving heads out there.

It's perfectly honest business, and we're glad we could scoop a small handful of copies. First come, first served - take a chance!

30 copies only, no digital, mostly sold as trades for fruit, seeds or - if must be - for gold coins, somewhere between Purdown and Baptist Mills before the sun sets and gives way for this year's full foil moon.
