We got our hands on a few of these future-classic mixtapes from boss DJ Elle Andrews, out of London, packed onto 75 minutes of tape via the Ulterior Motives label.

This mix is a real stunner, hard to classify to a genre (and why should we anyway) but we can certainly say it moves in an emotive way and incorporates a big flow of vast music from many circles, accumulated via her taste palette and mixing skills. The mix binds strictly killer tunes from the UK/worldwide rave scenes, and underground/experimental bits too, spanning a good 20-30 years (at least) but still sounding timeless (great music doesn't really age, does it).
We won't give away too many names and track IDs here, but just trust us when we say: it's all excellent stuff, mixed in a very smart, but effortless way - with the emotional dynamic guiding the path at all times, and simply put, in a constant stream of very tasteful, solid tunes.

You'll be gliding, swerving and headnoddin' through big tunes that you never heard, crucial cuts from time ago that you're glad to hear again, and constantly on your toes for what might be next. A proper exciting mix that's filled with pleasure... but not in a cheesy kinda way, it's deep and there's a fair bit of screwfacing involved. Just like life really, isn't it?

The mix is named after a quote from Gabor Mate, a jewish thinker and trauma psychologist, himself a big advocate for human rights in Palestine too, and here in this mix his words on self healing and stress management make an appereance too, making for an extra thought inducing listen - which is essentially reflective of the general mood of the mix too - deep, energised listening, with a positive/forward, but equally reflective and pensive spirit.

Elle Andrews is a great DJ and we've witnessed it live in the dance many a time (hello Elle!) - we can't recommend this mix enough, and to make sure you check her (and sparring partner Jon K of course!) out IRL when you get the chance.

This one's a keeper. Act quick, we've only got four copies, and they're sold out in other places.
