Now this is one wonderful and weird 7" from the Treasure Isle box!!

Killer early 70's vibrations from Hopeton Lewis and U Roy on the AA side, versioning 'The Guess Who' and their track 'These Eyes' - a US Soul number from 1968.

Hopeton Lewis keeps that soul alive and U Roy 'keeps that keep-on going on' in original U Roy deejay style.

Originally released in 1971 and crediting legendary sax-player 'Tommy McCook' as well as the Supersonics for the instrumental side of things, Treasure Isle owner and original soundman 'Duke Reid had his part to play too...

Flip the disc and another treat awaits -
Nora Dean brings us 'Angie La La' originally released in 1969 under the name 'Ay Ay Ay' -
Full of sweet sugar and spice, this track is so hauntingly beautiful it sends shivers down the spine.
Raw funk and soul grooves with that steady-loose JA groove make up the rhythm whilst Nora Dean lays down a vocal filled with smoke and mystery, bird songs and vocal efforts reminding of 70's kollywood or film noir.

A treasure indeed.
