TWO VERY LAST COPIES WERE RESCUED AND DROPPED OFF HERE BY DEAR BRUCE FOR US // FOR YOU TODAY -

YOU SNOOZE, YOU LOOSE

Big man Bruce clarting your tapedeck with this obscenely good triple (!) tape pack for CNC. Super pleased to have a (very) few copies of this gracing our fair shelves - blink and you'll miss em...

"By now a certified Club Night Club veteran, our regular crew will be more than familiar with the singular force that is Bristol’s Larry McCarthy. In August of 2021 the recorder was running on a sweaty late-summer night at Sugar Hill, conducted by the man himself alongside Giant Swan and Oli XL. Having closed CNC a handful of times over the years we wanted to switch it up and see what Larry would make of an extended opening, playing the first four hours of the night. What ensued and what is now available for purchase in a beautiful physical format is - in our opinion - a live recording that showcases the unique power of the Bruce project at its best. Versatile, disarming, subversive club music which first fills and chills an empty room and then propels it forward into a packed peak time.

We have made a very special 3 tape box set which documents the set in a sort of loose trilogy of vibes with 3.5 hours of top-tier sounds. The first is an eerie and beautiful hour of haunting, tender music played to an empty Bed Stuy supper club with only a few staff and keen early arrivals in attendance. The second is a dubbed out and siren heavy 90 minutes of proper sound system ear candy - classic dub cuts through early John T Gast bits - live Monotron mutations and enough sub weight to break ribs. In the third and final chunk you can feel the dials on the reactor starting to crank up as things descend into textbook Brucian speed-demon, tempo defiant schizoid club mutations. Spanning just about every possible avenue of club music at lightning speed there’s a little something for everyone inside. From 90’s dnb to acid sludge to that Bangface-approved Thomas The Tank Engine edit - the full box set is a portrait of one of dance music’s consistently most forward thinking selectors at the top of his game."
