Oi oi! What do we have here?

The first outing from a brand new Bristol label headed up by our brand new rwdfwd-studio-mate Max, aka Mackenzie, kicking off the new imprint Northfield Records with a hefty double cassette manifestation of two recordings from his recent club night 'CORN' night at already-legendary Bristol club Strange Brew.

Mackenzie's dreader-than-dread, ice-cold warm up set is dubbed to Tape 1, and Tape 2 packs pure pressure - from 130ish to 170pm - with Pessimist on the decks. Spanning anything from dark ambient to smoked out, dub-heavy darkside techno from the likes of Conrad Pack, Ugandan Methods, DJ Shufflemaster, through to Surgeon & Reeko, UVB-76 bits and Pessimist Productions and other raw cuts, both of the sets were about increasing the tension and energy, both sets kept a darkside forward momentum whilst setting a scene for Karkossyn and Anina's sets who followed later that night. No messing around with this one, proper heads-down ruffage, when this tape plays the lights in your house will automatically dim down and a smoke machine will start blasting from the corner of your room, your feet becoming sticky from the spilled Guinness.

The double tape comes in a proper crispy design-style from local design don Guillaume De Ubeda too, it's been given some mastering treatment by larry 'Bruce' McCarthy, then pro-dubbed and it comes with a download code too.

Pretty spesh, ngl.
