Absolute beauty of a roots 12", featuring long-time favourite 'Freedom Justice & Equality' from that killer Half Moon compilation that came out via PK some years ago -

Common Ground International have presented us with another piece of reissue gold with this. One for the heads who like their roots music extra raw & deep.
Topside we got Dill Smith's 'Set Me Free', backed with an echo-drenched dub cut (don't sleep on this one, it's wicked).
Flip it, and we have the deep meditative roots & culture of 'Freedom Justice & Equality' by veteran singer Stranger Cole, also followed by a wicked, wicked dub version, letting the vibrations resound with a restrained instrumental feel for the part 2.

This disc originally came out in 1975, and it has all that mid 70's 'post rocksteady' roots rawness, whilst still diving into the kind of dubwise zones  of the JA sounds that followed in later years. The o.g. disc is crazy expensive in 2nd hand circles, and we're glad to have crisp reissued copies of this fine record here, for a normal price.
