King Midas Sound's Roger Robinson alongside Jahtari bossman Disrupt -

A wicked combination this.
Inspired by the Brixton Riots that Roger Robinson found himself in the midst of, his lyrics take a political and personal viewpoint, tales from the midst of it all, told with lyrical finesse and honesty.

R.Robinson comes in versatile style for this LP, taking a plunge out of the depths of his works with King Midas Sound, in favour of a new, yet rooted stride in the style of the fathers of conscious lyrical reggae music, such as Linton Kwesi Johnson and Prince Far I.
Proper dub-poetry and song over some of Disrupt's most dubwise riddims, reminding of his classic 'Red Gold And Green' LP on Werkdiscs some years back, this heavily electronic style of 70's roots music still remains some of our favourite, letting Disrupt take full over-use of his circuit whizardry and dub physics whilst perusing some of the heaviest rhythms created in the golden era.

Let it play from start to finish - it's a highly rewarding listen, both in terms of vocal delivery, lyrics and production - really top stuff!
