Detroit meets London -

Two forever fresh sounding cuts from the man like Kyle MF Hall on the legendary Hyperdub.

In keeping with the sound of Detroit, raw analogue approach and a hands-on feel to the arrangement dictate the direction of these two fine tracks.
Made for the dancefloor, but filled with a confidence for something original and unique.

However, there is an interesting cross going on here between UK sounds and Kyle Hall's signature styles, tempo and rhythm remind us of early 2000's Croydon productions, for example 'Girl U So Strong' opens with a sense of dread that's not far off these famous Digital Mystikz styles that we have all come to love over the years, but as the track progresses we find ourselves in rhythmic territory somewhere in between LA's outsider Hip Hop movement, and the swagger of London and Detroit.

Flip the disc and we are summoned into the weirder side of Kyle Hall, with blips and bleeps that remind of Actress, dub sensibilities not far off early 'Clouds' dubstep productions and a lush, overdriven and reverbed bassline in the style of Theo Parrish's 'Soul Control'.

There's a sense of meditation mixed in with the unpredictability of the rhythm and melody within these tracks, an addictive listen and a great record to own for all the able Dj's out there.

Part of the Hyperdub 10th anniversary series, this disc comes served in a fresh sleeve and is labelled Hyperdub 10.1.

Packaged in a stylish spot-varnished gloss sleeve, printed on the in- and outside.
