Slinky dub-techno & post-punk dubwise trippers from Al Wooton on his Trule imprint - presenting the third in a trilogy of deep, meditative dance music 12"s -

Titled 'Wyre', Al Wooton's latest disc comes cut with four high-energy depth chargers that range between Berlin-school dub techno, and percussive post punk esque dub with a splash of forest-inspired atmospherics.

The record kicks off with two solid, stealthily dubbed out rootsy techno rollers. On the flip the rhythms get choppier and the live bassline and drums inject organic intrigue, with a nice overblown bass sound coming like a more moody RSD kind of style, coupled with polyrhythmic half-step percussion that just keeps rolling, and tumbling over itself in a smart way.

Mercia, the final cut - picks up the pace again, with a stepping rhythm sitting somewhere in between 2562's earlier output, or Basic Channel at peak time, all served with a deadly, phasing rhythmic delay that curves around the kick drum and shakers in a dizzying, yet driving kind of way.

Solid!!!
