Uncle Viv drops yet another hot-I$$h release on his now legendary System label by relative newcomers Samba & Sepia who bring a fresh, contemporary perspective to the 140 template with this pair of unabashed heaters.

Samba's solo effort Kami sits loud and proud on the A, a ridiculous Far-Eastern flute melody and trappy percussive stylings all this tune needs to keep your screw-face firmly in position from intro 'til mix-out. We're huge fans of this side - it marks an excellent broadening of System's sonic palate and with any luck will give Samba some much-deserved extra attention.

On the flip is another Samba effort, this time in collaboration with Sepia, another somewhat under-the-radar producer who was responsible for some seriously overlooked bangers in 2017. Hooves is somewhat reminiscent of that Samba & Jonah Freed collab on Innerverse that came out last year, but where that tune went straight for the jugular, Hooves' melodic stylings are a little less in your face and a little more on a melancholic tip. Combine that with a Kahn-reminiscent drum section and you have a guaranteed dancefloor belter - although our money is still on that A side, we have to admit!
