The wait is finally over - Without a doubt the most highly anticipated drum n bass album of the year has arrived.

6 tracks of impeccably produced floor burning tracks split across 3 plates, each in it’s own printed inner and spot gloss, die-cut outer sleeve.

A very tall order indeed, writing an album for the legendary Metalheadz label, home to the scenes royalty, Ulterior Motive have released nothing but bangers in the last couple of years leading up to ‘The Fourth Wall’ and it doesn’t disappoint.

Opening with ‘Sideways’ which may be a cheeky nod to the classic ‘Basic Principals’ by Alex Reece, also on Headz back in the mid 90s, it sets the tone for the album, it’s full of groove, super tough drums but most importantly, it rolls out effortlessly.

Ulterior Motive, thankfully, have ignored the urge to get all ‘experimental’ on this album and it’s straight up and down club tracks here, techy goodness on ‘Short Circuit and drum funk references on ‘Keep It Moving’. While this album may span a list of sub-genres, it is all a very cohesive and quality listen.

Wheel up and come again!
