Bristol's very own Via Maris makes a welcome surprise appearance on Jabu's do you have peace label, with two dreamscape navigating fourth world drifters, pressed up on a neat 7" -

Taking a sweeter, more tripped out sidestep from his Livity & Mechanical Reproductions works over the last years, it's real nice to hear these off-kilter drifters committed to vinyl now via do you have peace, the label ran by Amos Childs, of Jabu / O$VMV$M / Young Echo fame.

Up top, Lekky let's undulating percussive rhythms and heavy bassline momentum clang harmoniously with distant vocal chants and reverberant melody, whipping up some kind of dreamlike frenzy with hints of anxiety but hella wooze and wonder to make up a general feeling of calm, and focus, and exploration.
The flip goes real well with the first cut, leaving out percussive elements but operating in a similar echo chamber where, instead, a tuneful arpeggio climbs and falls in time with morphing clouds of frequency, like some kind of hidden message to be found within a labyrinth of sound.

Real soul-searching stuff this, a proper trip for the mind, and another must on this fine label, if you ask us.
