The second in the cross-country dubwise ‘Diving Bird’ exercises from Andy Mac –

The first 12″ in the series on Idle Hands came out not long ago, and it blew us away with it’s deft application of that stripped back Berlin Dub aesthetic with a righteous tinge of Andy Mac’s own style, informed by the West Country as much as West Africa (and other places on the musical map, that we won’t mention because they might not swing as well in that same sentence).

Kicking off with the dancehall, hip-house bogle of ‘Secret Shade’ and it’s unconventional, yet cunning ‘version’ on the first side of the disc, Andy Mac drops two stealthy hitters before kicking up a storm (literally) on the flip –
‘Stormy (Dubwise)’ inhibits the grooves of the B Side, but it’s the one that will get rinsed the most by us.
Absolutely, 100% killer ‘Wackies meets Rhythm & Sound’ moves on this one, with a hook so infectious it’ll have you whistling for the rest of the day like a nutcase, shaking your shoulders with a grin on your face.

100% big tip!
