Wisdom Teeth start up their 2016 release schedule in fine style - stepping the levels up with printed sleeves and three tracks from Bristol to France and Italy.

If you've been following the label output since it's inception you will know the drill, cutting edge underground techno variants with a distinctly UK edge. These three cuts are no exception, and, in our opinion, some of the finest they have released so far.

Up top is Bristol's Alex Coulton who was last seen on Tempa, here, he cuts angular drum constructs from work hardened steel and juxtaposes them with hydraulic synthesis and booming 808 kicks. Treading a path somewhere between classic Tempa and the most upfront FWD sounds with ease. You can hear the spirt of Horsepower at work in this one, and that is no bad thing at all.

Flipside is shared between Italy and France, Chevel reps Italy with some serious bleep and bass experimentation for 'Tailwind', a weightless trip through galaxies and fogs of fizzing static. Utterly sublime and a wicked DJ tool.

Saving the best till last though, we come to  'Escape The Fate' from Simo Cell - a woozy combination of scattershot drums and a woozy metallic melody that pitches and yaws through the track. Rising string lines cut through the mix and sound brilliantly like a lost section of an 80s paranoia movie - Fu*king class.
