Classic Don Cherry border-crossing spiritual Jazz recording together with wife Moki on Tambura, alongside Brazillian percussionist Naná Vasconcelos and Italian multi-instrumentalist Gian Piero Pramaggiore -

Recorded in 1976 at the Italian RAI studios for a television broadcast (you can check the show on YT too, it's a gem!), Om Shanti Om is a deep cruise into freeform spritual jazz realms, rooted in Jazz and melting into an intoxicating concoction of trance, psychedelic and spiritual music, blurring location & genre speculations with an even more worldly purpose through communication with musicians & sounds from various countries, and heavily inspired by time spent in flux across the globe, singularly and collectively, such as with the Dagar Brother in India and influences from Buddhism-related experiences in Tibet.

A real beauty -

Pressed up in printed sleeve, with insert via Black Sweat Records.
