What a treat this is! Best buds Luca Lozano and Omega III dig deep in their enviable record collections and blow the cobwebs off a long forgotten box of TDK 90s to create an hour long cut and paste trip through the best Bleep & Bass money can buy.

The pair get a half hour side of the cassette each, Luca Lozano is up first with a blend of classics from the likes of Altern8 and Infinity as well as one of his own tracks. Omega III is at the controls for the B-side with essential cuts from Sweet Exorcist and LFO. Where ‘The Lost Tape’ really comes into its own though, is the authentic adverts and chatter from an MCs that were carefully sampled from original tape recordings of pirate broadcasts back in ’91,and laid over the top of the mixes - adverts for tickets to raves with Doc Scott, shout outs to Carla locked in (happy birthday) and all that stuff that makes pirate sounds so vital.

whether you’re a Bleep & Bass fiend or a newbie looking for an introduction, this is a must have, it comes with a download code but the tape sounds so much better for the additional hiss.

This is what the label has to say on the tape in case you needed further temptation - ‘1991 is the hour, Sheffield is the space. Rave and acid house culture is at its zenith and Sheffield has, by accident or design, absorbed its exciting breaks-based electronics and passed it through an industrially minimal filter process, informed by the electro-pop traditions established in the previous decade. Autochthonous tracks that will live on for years to come are produced throughout Yorkshire, whilst imported jams are adopted as local anthems at the Jive Turkey night, or on the airwaves via pirate stations such as Fantasy FM.
Luca Lozano and Omega III started DJing together in this famous city, and after having travelled and around many cities and styles, return to their roots with this dedication to the embryonic days of bass and bleep.
The Lost Tape is limited to 100 copies only and is equip with MC chat, authentic advertising and a digital download.’
