Another extra-good mix cassette from Nathan Carter's new series of cassette-only tapes with 'fellow vinyl obsessives' -

if you got your hands on one, or both, of the first two in this series, you'll know (roughly!) what to expect by now, and you'll probably be hitting that 'buy-on-sight' button already... If not, then we'd advise to 'take the risk' and load this one up in your preferred tape player, and let the deep-digging selections hit your membrane.

We're about half way thru tape so far (yes, we did get these in 'on sight' based on how good the last ones were) and it's already absolutely great, with murky dub meeting acidic post-punk on a crossroad with dark ambient folk-ish, no wave stuff in a dark ambient style, think Bauhaus or Killing Joke's dubbed out sides to Normil Hawaiians bleak-bliss, via 90s free party depths and into a murky void of industrial to... that kind of thing ... All made to come alive by way of skilled swerves between records and moods - we're enjoying floating on this dark cloud of smog above grey, flame peppered industrial skylines.

Oh yeah, we're talking about the A side here, with Manchester based Josh Lentink aka Handbook In Motion (last spotted on NTS show "80's Rampwalk" and 12th Isle's Forecast series) at the wheels of steel.

According to the source: "Expect Ambient breakbeat from deepest Northamptonshire, French library reggae, Japanese New Wave and Welsh dub."

On the flip, we get treated to an excursion from (very wicked DJ - again, if you checkec the first two tapes you'll know whats up!) Extrastereo on selections - aka 'the Devon based dancehall connoisseur, font fetishist
and guardian of the esoteric, extrastereo follows his
acclaimed Trilogy Tapes release by launching a
boutique series of collaborative mixtapes featuring
fellow vinyl obsessives.'

"What I want is the terrifying, the meaning, the cruel,
the chaotic, the darkly exciting, the ecstatic,
the irrational – music that resounds between the cells
and in the intergalactic voids…”
— Slava Ranko

Yep, as we said: dive in if you dare.. but don't hesitate too much, it's already sold out at source, and we don't expect to hang on to these for too long...

C90, tape-only.
Dubbed at tapeline, on orange printed tapes - designed by extrastereo.
