It's been around 10 years since the Hotline label put out it's first cryptic voicemail teasers and started pasting up road promo around the streets of Bristol. The SIM card and o.g, hotline phone is now dead, but based on the photos of recent sightings which we're attaching here, it seems the street promotion is still a thing, and word on the 19th disc on the label is now out there -

This time along it's Quartz on the buttons with three versatile rollers and stealthy junglist steppers. First up on the A side, we get a concentrated dose of darkside dnb rollige with futuristic atmospherics stretching out like a shadow over drums thundering from the distance. By the time that breakdown shreds it's way into the open space, it's full bassweight immersion, before we head into full charge on the 2nd drop.

On the flip, the tempo reduces and the rhythm opens up in favour of extra intensity and extra doses of energy. On 'Abstract' we get into a proper ruffneck bassline vs snare workout. Here we find undulating synthlines and vocal injections presented in a relentless build of intensity, answered by gnarly shots of bassline and drum sound. This one's the special weapon, if you ask us.

Following a similar path of creeping intensity and undulating forward momentum, 'Pale Tongue' let's eye-diluting subs form a pattern around fully charged synth kicks and twisted bass melodics, proper ghost in the machine type vibes, in the literal sense.

No nonsense, fully deadly dancefloor gear, served up on a loud & proud 12", finally ready to spin at full dynamic range.
