Recently collected during a trip through Ukraine and into Kyiv, we got a small handful (all that we could get!) of this rrrraaw and heavyweight grindcore split 7".

12 tracks in total - split  between Kyiv, Ukraine's Subscum band (shouts to Vlad & crew!) and Vilnius, Lithuania's Kaukolé - on a co-release between Grindfather productions, Acid Redux Productions, No Time Records, No Name Records.

We're proud to have a slice of the Kyiv & Vilnius underground sound here for those of you want to dive into this madness and pick up one of these 7"s - including extra subscum stickers that we got given and a killer fold out linoprint art poster too.

Big respect to the Subscum band especially, for making this music despite the ongoing, intense full scale invasion of Russia into Ukrainian territory, despite the relentless drone & missile attacks, the sirens, the powercuts in Kyiv and around, despite life being made hard... Or maybe it's better to say 'because of' not just 'despite' because survival & the living of life as an act of resistance comes in many forms - with members of the band having to serve in the military or other key war time factory occupations, living life and making music as a band is no longer a simple privilege, it's part of a survival act, a noise that needs to be made, a vital juggling act of sorts, some sanity within the madness.

Play this shit loud, and let the noise soundtrack the burning down the imperialist death machine, drown out the worldwide extension of war mongers; let it deafen, indeed - bring death to - those who oppose justice, peace and freedom in favour of capital gain. Fuck Putin and all supporters of the war machine. Freedom to Ukraine and all their territories.

Right we said our bit - come grab yourself a copy of this loud & proud disc - we only have three copies available, and once they're gone, that's it.

P.S.: If you want more imported Ukrainian goods, also check that Sunday Embassy tape (Yes Vlad! who said a grindcore guy can't also make acid-y and dubby chicago-meets-sheffield-meets-kyiv house?) and also check that wicked Forma Formanta tape we got straight from Kyiv, for more darkwave noize dub vibes.
