Brutish, unrestrained caustic techno for serious after hours deployment - Make no mistake, this record isn’t for the feint of heart. Split between ‘The Friend’ who have previously released on ‘How To Kill’ & ‘Clan Destine’ on the top side and L/F/D/M on the flip, the latter having released on Optimo and who may be better known as the Diagonal artists ‘Bronze Teeth’.

With this in mind, you kind of know what to expect - dank and distorted industrial techno trax for those that like it hard. ‘Room(s)’ from The Friend on the A side is a percy, thumping out smashed kicks and whip-cracking snares alongside distorted vocals at once referencing Throbbing Gristle and early Birmingham school techno - utterly devastating and surprisingly versatile on the Technics as well.

L/F/D/M have the B side all to themselves - Opening with the serotonin deprived chords of ‘Drome’, washed out drones, mashed through tape delay in proper shoe gaze style which fades away all to soon into the pulverising stomp of ‘Belton’. Bookended by the fractured step of ‘Untruths’, this split album is a lesson in conviction - uncompromising post industrial techno, not for those of a nervous disposition.
