Another CDR handed to us via Kin40k ov Pheasantry Society, this is one of two brand new and current offerings from the studio by the old police cells - a new piece in the recent wave of no-fuss underground sound dealings, served up on a CDR and handed to us in person - no bandcamp, no internet clips or promo hype... That real DIY style.
We're pretty much just here to help archive this to lean out of it ending up in the eternal void of the recent goblin market and brew market here in Bristol, where most of them were sold.

We had to sign a contract with blood & feather so our lips are sealed regarding who is involved in this one (it's at least two people, right?) but if you snatched any of the recent Pheasantry Society CDR's (which makes you one of about two handfuls of people, to be fair) upon listening you might take a guess who is involved, or at least one of the people... The other one may or may not have been involved in a recent Drowned By Locals fuelled all-star group that performed in Bristol and London last year... Call the Ambulance vs Ambulance and definitely enter into Operation Egodeath if you can guess who! Anyway, rest assured The New Bristol Shakers are coming correct, with a real headsy concoction of overdriven string plucked sounds, cheap keyboard symphonies and preset fuckry,  hushed and echo'd vocals through feedback wall of noise and a beautiful frequency mush which'll make you feel like your brain is being cleansed and purified, ground up and re-set...

This one was, as far as we know, recorded straight to four track tape player and then re-pitched for good measure and extra warble.
Be prepared for a trip through raucous cacophony (Shake It All About) and low-slung, sizzling 2k25 pheasantry dirge (Universal Light) and then enter into demented wah-wah folk (Second Harvest)  - to give some example of what to expect... But frankly this is just real, unpolished freak music of the finest order. Go weird or go home basically.

Edition of about 10?

By the way, we only have ONE copy of this one... Good luck!

P.S. if you're lucky you might receive some rather-rare miniature no-lens photos taken, and developed by Kin40k in a zip bag..
