The big bad YOKEL is back on it, continuing the musical rampage from recent-ish Bokeh Versions, Dummy Hand and Accidental Meetings outings (definitely check if you missed those) and delivering a very solid C60 mix of scuzzed post-2020-industrial, double-time-chug, low slung heavy hitters and liquidized tekno and jungle excursions for the brand-new-and-good-for-you Northfield Records imprint, ran here at RWDFWD HQ by our mate Mackenzie.

It's always a pleasure to hear Bristol selector and long-running contributor the scene (cc Plaque, Slack Alice, Avon Terror Corps) YOKEL on the decks, and local lads & lasses will tell you that his sets are always a treat - somehow hitting with ferocity whilst served in cool & deadly fashion, he knows how to pack the heat into a DJ set with cherry picked rhythms from across the spectrum - yet maintaining a certain coherence that glues everything into a seamless, brain frying and leg-shaking mush that'll have you jumping and head nodding til your neck snaps and your feet go nicely numb.

This mix is no different - if you're not stood up and dancing to this one, you'll at the very least be head nodding synaptically in your chair or sofa or whatnot. This mix is healthy for your mind, proper good gear.

And there's a tracklist included in the artwork inlay too, which is strictly redacted in online pics, so you'll have to get the real thing in order to complete your research whilst this mix plays from your hifi. We dig that.

Oh yeah, we should also add that the tape comes in a seriously good-looking housing, designed by local G. de Ubéda.
